ABOUT DANI

Dani "Vani" McGuire 
 E-RYT500, Yoga Therapist, IAYT

What first brought Dani to her mat was her passion for health and fitness. What she found there was much more than she ever imagined. As her gym membership collected dust she had a transformation within her practice, discovering a peace within her unchanged by the frantic society. She decided instantly she wanted to share this teaching with others. Dani has practiced yoga for over 10 years, beginning with Lyengar and now having studied Hatha, Raja, Vinyasa Anusara, Viniyoga and many more styles that inspire her own style of teaching.

Dani believes that when the student is ready the teacher appears, and has found this to be true both in her experience as a teacher and a student. Some of her great teachers and influences are Shiva Rea, Bryan Kest, and Gary Kraftsow.

Dani received her 500 Hour Yoga Alliance certification with her teachers Marsh Pappas and Nikki Myers, and will receive her 500 hours in Prana flow vinyasa in December 2011.

Dani is also dedicated to teaching yoga to people with cancer and chronic pain. She is a Yoga Therapist and is registered with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Her teacher and mentor is Jnani Chapman and she has received her certification through Integral Yoga Academy. Her goal is to make these services available to everyone living with cancer, regardless of their income.

Dani is committed to forming a partnership with every one of her students to serve them in finding peace, health, and a greater sense of well being wherever they may be in this moment.

PRIVATE YOGA SESSIONS

Private sessions are ideal for those students or teachers wishing to gain personal direction and guidance, deepening their yoga practice or for beginners who would like to set a safe foundation and awareness of their bodies before entering a group class.


LIFE COACHING

Dani "Vani" McGuire, yoga therapist and serial entrepreneur, will guide you on this evolutionary approach to living your yoga and unleashing blockages that are preventing you from living your highest, most joyful life.

Highly complementary to yoga philosophy, coaching is a service that gives students personalized guidance and support into bringing awareness into their lives. Coaching shares the yoga perspective that happiness can only come from within and our life coaching program will help to uncover that joy. The mind, body, spirit connection shouldn't end when you leave the yoga mat. Dani's program will help you begin to incorporate balance into your daily lives, unleashing old habitual ways of thinking that are keeping you from fulfilling your goals, dreams, and highest potential. Lifestyle coaching is different from therapy and counseling in that it is for emotionally healthy individuals, that have hit a road block on their path, and need an alternative way of looking at things, or getting out of old unconscious ways of living. We will look at awareness, intention, and personal power to carry through your goals and dreams.

Yoga therapy is a healing art developed from the ancient insights of yoga integrated into mainstream wellness programs. The only yoga therapist in the area and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Dani may prescribe such techniques as awareness, breath work, movement, meditation, relaxation, guided visualization, cleansing practices, or ayurvedic diet. Yoga therapy helps the systems regain balance and vitality. Dani will meet you wherever you are today, using the science of yoga, her experiential knowledge and research, and gift of intuition in adapting these practices to offer relief from pain or illness.
